Randomised controlled trials of homeopathy in humans: characterising the research journal literature for systematic review
24 април 2013HRI Scientific Advisory Committee member, Dr Robert Mathie, has carried outa programme of new systematic reviews of randomised controlled trials
(RCTs) in homeopathy which bring much needed clarity to the RCT evidence base. Mathie and his team have identified the following key attributes of each trial: placebo controlled versus other-than-placebo (OTP) controlled; individualised versus non-individualised homeopathy and peer-reviewed (PR) versus non peer-reviewed (NPR) sources, enabling the RCT evidence base to be analysed and interpreted with much greater accuracy and meaning.
