Dr Steven Cartwright’s latest publication has shown that polar dyes can detect the presence of homeopathic preparations, demonstrating that they are not ‘just water’.

Part 1 of a systematic review of physicochemical research in homeopathy, co-authored by Dr Alexander Tournier, has identified a significant increase in both volume and quality of research in this field in recent years. Part 2, due to be published later this year, presents findings aimed at informing future research.

As the Australian Report continues to be quoted in the media and scientific circles, pressure is building for NHMRC to justify their actions in producing this inaccurate report.

The complaint filed with the Commonwealth Ombudsman in 2016 was assessed to be of sufficient merit to warrant a full investigation into NHMRC’s conduct. Over the 19 months since submission, the process has involved ongoing input from both parties as NHMRC answers charges of bias, conflict of interest and scientific misconduct.

Meanwhile the Your Health Your Choice (YHYC) PR Campaign which raises public awareness of this important issue has achieved nearly 80,000 sign-ups.
